Cats Protection hosts visit from Lord Gardiner at Mitcham Homing Centre
06 April 2017
Earlier this week, Cats Protection was delighted to welcome Lord Gardiner, the Minster with responsibility for animal welfare at DEFRA, to Mitcham Homing Centre.
This official visit was to learn more about the charity’s cat care work, as well as the advocacy work which aims to change policies for the benefit of cats. The minister was given a tour of the centre, meeting some of the gorgeous cats ready to be rehomed.
There was also an opportunity for Advocacy Manager Jacqui Cuff to discuss the joint work with Government on a range of issues, including most recently, the changes to the law governing kitten sales.
